What Conference Does UVU Play In?

UVU officially joined the Big West Conference on July 1, 2026. Its conference opponents include Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, CSUN, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, and California Baptist.

The move follows more than a decade in the Western Athletic Conference, which UVU joined in 2013. During that time, the Wolverines won 33 WAC regular-season and tournament championships and made NCAA Tournament appearances in seven different sports. Men’s basketball finished its final WAC season in 2025–26 as regular-season champions and earned a bid to the National Invitation Tournament.

UVU wrestling competes in the Big 12 Conference, which is why both conferences appear on the Wolverines’ athletics site.

Which UVU Sports Can You Watch Each Season?

UVU’s athletics calendar runs nearly the full academic year, so there’s usually a home game to catch no matter the month.

Fall Sports

Winter Sports

Spring Sports

Soccer and volleyball in the fall and basketball in the winter tend to draw the biggest student crowds. That makes them a great starting point if you’re new to Wolverines athletics.

Where Do the Wolverines Play?

All of UVU’s main athletic venues are on or near its Orem campus, so it’s easy to make games part of your regular routine.

UCCU Center

The UCCU Center is home to men’s and women’s basketball and is the largest arena in the Big West, with seating for 8,500. The student section is in sections 9 through 12.

Lockhart Arena

Lockhart Arena hosts volleyball, wrestling, and some women’s basketball games, with a smaller, louder atmosphere. Students sit in the northwest stands.

UCCU Stadium at Clyde Field

Men’s and women’s soccer play at UCCU Stadium, home to Clyde Field. UVU built the stadium as part of a $30 million investment. The student section sits on top of The Den Student Party Deck at the southeast corner of the field.

UCCU Ballpark and Wolverine Softball Field

Baseball plays at UCCU Ballpark, where students sit in sections 9 and 10 behind the UVU dugout. Softball plays at Wolverine Softball Field, with the student section in the grandstands next to the UVU dugout.

How Do UVU Students Get Free Tickets to Games?

UVU students receive up to five complimentary tickets to every regular-season home game, so you can bring roommates and friends along. Tickets must be reserved in advance and are available while supplies last. Here’s how to reserve them online:

  1. Go to GoUVU.com/Tickets.
  2. Select the sport you want to attend.
  3. Choose the “Ticket Offers” option.
  4. Select “UVU Student Single Game Tickets.”
  5. Enter your UVU ID number in the offer code field and submit.
  6. Pick the event and your seats, then complete the checkout.

You can also reserve tickets through the UVU Student app. Open the “Events” tab, find the game under “Athletics,” and select “Get Tickets.” Reserving early for big matchups is a good idea, since student tickets can run out.

What Is The Den at UVU?

The Den is UVU’s official student fan organization, named after the home of a wolverine. Every student enrolled in at least one credit is automatically a member, so there’s nothing extra to sign up for.

Members get exclusive seating in the student section at every home venue, plus access to Den-sponsored tailgates, giveaways, contests, and special events. Tailgates move with the season. They’re held on the Party Deck for soccer, in the SL Courtyard or PE hallways for Lockhart Arena events, and on the main floor near section 13 for basketball at the UCCU Center.

It’s one of the easiest ways to meet people at UVU, especially during your first semester.

Can UVU Students Play Sports Themselves?

Watching games is only half the fun. UVU’s Intramural Sports program offers recreational leagues in sports like basketball and soccer, with no tryouts required. Students who want a higher level of play can look into UVU’s competitive sports programs, which include options like climbing.

The Student Life & Wellness Center adds basketball courts, an indoor track, and a climbing wall for pickup games and solo workouts. Membership is free for students taking 10 or more credits.
